Box Score The Siena Men's Tennis team got off to a rough start in their first MAAC matchup of the season, as they fell on the road to the Quinnipiac Bobcats by a final score of 7-0.
The Saints struggled early, falling on all three courts in doubles play to fall into an early 1-0 deficit. The Green and Gold fought in singles play, as three courts went in the max three games, led by
Guillermo Lopez Torres at #2 singles.
Geovanny Mendoza and
Soma Yokoyama also fell in three sets at #5 and #6 singles, but fought to the finish in their courts.
Quinnipiac topped the Saints the rest of the way on other courts to complete the sweep.
The Saints return to action tomorrow, Sunday, Apr. 11 when they continue their road in Connecticut and take on the Fairfield Stags. Opening serve for the matchup gets things going at 12 p.m.
