Siena Baseball fell in its first midweek action of the season, dropping a pair of seven-inning contests at Marist by scores of 16-1 and 16-3.

Marist (5-1) erupted for 14 runs in the fourth inning to take the opener. The Red Foxes pounded out 10 of their 14 hits in the frame while sending 19 men to the plate in the inning.
Siena (6-16) scored its run in the sixth inning on a fielder's choice by
Eddie Sweeney to drive home
Donovan Montgomery.
Devan Kruzinski, Montgomery, and
Bryce Porter accounted for the Saints' three hits.
Game 2: Marist 16, Siena 3 (7)
Marist scored in five of their six at-bats highlighted by a five-run first and a six-run second to complete the sweep. The Red Foxes capped the afternoon with a three-run homer in the sixth to invoke the mercy rule in a shortened affair.
Siena scored all three of its runs in the fourth inning, on a two-run double by
Carson Dunkel and a sacrifice fly from Kruzinski. Seven different Saints registered one hit apiece.
Siena returns to action Saturday when they commence a four-game weekend series vs. Saint Peter's with doubleheader action beginning at noon at Connors Park.
