For the first time since the 2016-17 season, the Siena Women's Tennis team will play for the MAAC Championship match as the No. 3 seeded Saints will take on the No. 1 seed Quinnipiac Bobcats at the Mercer County Park Tennis Center Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Saints are in pursuit of their first MAAC Championship since 2006, the only MAAC Championship in program history. The last time the Saints also appeared in the MAAC Championship in 2016-17, they faced and lost to the first-seeded Bobcats by a final score of 4-2. In their previous meeting this season, the Bobcats topped the Saints 5-2.

Siena comes into this match after a 4-1 win over No. 2 seed Fairfield on Saturday afternoon, as Meagan Brown posted a perfect 2-0 day with wins on both #1 Singles and #1 Doubles. Quinnipiac enters the match after a win over No. 4 Niagara by a final score of 4-1 as well.

Despite gaining an early lead, the Siena Women's tennis team couldn't hang on in the two teams first meeting back on Apr. 10. The Saints started strong in doubles play as Meagan Brown and Kylie Mullaney secured a victory on court 1 by a score of 6-4, followed by a win on court 3 from Emma Boggiali and Maanya Viswanath. With the pair of victories, the Saints took the 1-0 lead heading into singles play. Siena was not so lucky in singles, with only one win coming from Boggiali by a final of 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 on court 5. All other courts for the Saints fell in straight sets, except for Petra Miszczak on court 3 as she fell 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (3).

The Siena women's tennis team earned five different awards on Friday morning, as the Green and Gold saw four of their athletes represented. Siena would have Meagan Brown, Kylie Mullaney, and Emma Boggiali represented in singles, while those three along with sophomore Mannya Viswanath would win doubles awards.

Brown would bring home All-MAAC Second Team Singles #1 honors, while Mullaney joined her on the Second Team at #2 Singles. Boggiali would also be named to the All-MAAC Second Team as well at #5 Singles. In doubles, Brown and Mullaney were named All-MAAC Second Team at #1 Singles, while Boggiali and Viswanath earned All-MAAC Second Team #3 Doubles. Brown and Boggiali would tie for most singles wins this season with five each.

Siena also had five named to All-Academic teams, as Brown, Mullaney, and Viswanath earned honors as well as Anastasia Koniaev and Petra Miszczak.
