For the first time in seven years, multiple members of Siena Water Polo were recognized by the MAAC on a postseason All-MAAC team. Junior utility
Bianca Prinsloo and sophomore goalkeeper
Anna Mossakowski were each named Second Team All-MAAC selections for the 2021 season, marking the first team either were honored. Â
Â
"Bianca and Anna have worked incredibly hard throughout an academic year full of obstacles," head coach
Alex Williams said. "At each moment of adversity, they learned from the experience and doubled down on their work ethic. The individual accomplishments are incredible, but what I admire most is their ability to set an example and inspire their teammates."

Despite holding just a 1-8 record during the regular season, both student athletes shined in the pool after having their 2020 campaigns cut short. Both saw action in all nine matches on the season, with Prinsloo trying for the team lead in goals (21) and securing the overall lead in points (25) while adding four assists. The Johannesburg, South Africa native held a .467 shooting percentage on the season, while ranking first on the team in exclusions drawn (10) and second in steals (9). Prinsloo notched five hat tricks on the season, including a season-best five goals against #22 Marist on April 21.
Â
After splitting time for the starting spot in-between-the-pipes in 2020, Mossakowski played every minute in-goal for the Saints during the 2021 season, recording 68 total saves and a .364 saves percentage. A two-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honoree during the regular season, the Long Grove, Illinois product recorded three double-digit save affairs, headlined by a career-high 19 saves in the team's milestone win over #25 Iona on April 24. Mossakowski also notched two assists and three steals on the year.
Â
The awards mark the first time since three Saints were honored by the MAAC in 2014 that multiple players from the program were named to All-MAAC squads, as well as the first time since 2008 a Siena goalie has earned a conference award.
