Quinnipiac was led by a pair of goals from John DeLucia and Matt Miller. Demitri George, Evan Perry, and Dylan Donnery each scored one goal as well as George snagged 11 ground balls to his stat line as well.
Pantalone struck first for Siena in the first quarter, as both teams played scoreless for just over the first eight minutes of play. Despite Siena getting the 1-0 lead, the Bobcats had the last say in the frame as they scored two in the final six minutes to take a 2-1 lead. Both teams would play without a score until the 3:53 mark in the second, as Lantieri found the twine as things were knotted at 2-2 headed into the half.
In the third quarter, the Bobcats found their stride with three unanswered scores to take the 5-2 lead. Menniti would bring the Saints back within two at 5-3 with a goal at the 2:33 mark left to play in the third. From there, both teams traded goals down the stretch in the fourth as the Bobcats maintained their two goal lead for the 7-5 win.
Siena struggled on the faceoff X, as they went 1-for-15 as a team on the game. The Bobcats also won the ground ball battle, topping the Saints 35-15 in that department.
The Saints return to action Saturday, April 17 when the Green and Gold head to the city to take on the Manhattan Jaspers. Game time for the matchup in the Bronx is slated for 1 p.m.
