LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Women's Basketball 2021-22 schedule has been completed with the announcement of their non-conference schedule on Thursday afternoon. The Saints will play nine non-conference matchups, including one exhibition matchup. The slate is highlighted by a three-game homestand at the UHY Center in late November.
 
Siena previously announced their MAAC schedule at the beginning of September, with their MAAC opener coming on Monday, Dec. 20 against the Rider Broncs.
 
The Jim Jabir era 2.0 kicks off with the Saints on the road on Tuesday, Nov. 9 against the Binghamton Bearcats. That game will be the first of four consecutive road matchups to take the Saints through a majority of November. The first home game under Jabir's tutelage at the UHY Center will come on Saturday, Nov. 27 in a matchup with the Atlantic 10's Duquesne Dukes. Siena matchup with Duquense will be the first of a three-game homestand.
 
Standing out on the schedule for the Saints are road matchups to conclude the non-conference slate with cross-town rival UAlbany on Saturday, Dec. 12 and a matchup with the Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome just before the Christmas holiday on Wednesday, Dec. 22. Siena defeated the Great Danes for the Crosstown Showdown Trophy in December of 2019 by a final score of 52-46 at the UHY Center. Siena currently sits 5-6 all-time against the Orange, last facing the ACC member in 2016-17.
 
The Saints opening road trip after Binghamton will feature a trip to Olean to take on St. Bonaventure on Thurs, Nov. 11. After an eight-day break, Siena will head back on the road to take on Lafayette on Saturday, Nov. 20 and New Hampshire on Tuesday, Nov. 23 just before the Thanksgiving holiday.
 
Following their home matchup with Duquesne, Siena will follow up with a matchup against the North Dakota Fighting Eagles on Tuesday, Nov. 30 to close out the November month. Siena has only faced Duquesne twice in program history (2003-04, 2004-05), and will face North Dakota for the first time.
 
Their final non-conference home game will come just two days later on Thursday, Dec. 2 when Colgate comes into town. The Saints defeated the Raiders the last time they visited the UHY Center in November of 2018. Wrapping up the non-conference slate, Siena's matchups at UAlbany and Syracuse sandwiched around their MAAC opener with Rider will close out their non-conference action.
 
In addition to the Saints non-conference schedule, the program announced an exhibition matchup against the Dominican College Chargers (DII) at home in the UHY Center on Saturday, Nov. 6.

Siena is looking to build off a 4-9 record a year ago, as the Saints enter Jim Jabir era 2.0. The Green and Gold will be led with veterans Rayshel Brown, Amari Anthony, Lala Watts, and Margo Peterson while also mixing in six newcomers.
