The Saints (2-10, 2-2 MAAC) return to the court with a two-game winning streak, as they defeated the Marist Red Foxes for the first time in 10 tries by a final score of 69-53. The final score would be their highest output on offense this season, and included a season-high eight three pointers on 40 percent shooting from downtown.

Leading the offensive effort was fifth-year Rayshel Brown, who scored 16 points – all in the second half – while adding two steals and two blocks. Senior Margo Peterson made all 15 of her points from distance, going 5-for-8 from behind the three point line. Fifth-year Selena Philoxy almost snagged a double-double, going for nine points and 11 rebounds, adding two steals. Graduate student DeAnna Winston set a new career-high with six assists.

The Jaspers (9-5, 4-1 MAAC) are coming into Loudonville on a four-game winning streak, and winners of five of their last six. Manhattan outscored Iona 18-9 over the final nine minutes to secure a 64-59 win on Thursday night. The win aided the Jaspers home record at Draddy Gymnasium, as they remain unbeaten at home (6-0). Three Jaspers were in double figures, with Brazil Harvey-Carr scoring a team-high 17 points with four 3-pointers. The forward added six rebounds and three assists. Dee Dee Davis finished 11 points, five assists, five rebounds, and three steals. Freshman Petra Juric tallied 10 points—including the first four of the game for Manhattan—and grabbed five rebounds. Courtney Warley grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

In the series history, the Saints and Jaspers will meet for the 71st time. Siena currently holds the 46-24 series advantage. The Saints also won the last matchup between the schools, and are winners of five of the last seven. The last time the two teams met, sophomore Amari Anthony continued her strong play, as her offense combined with a tenacious defensive effort led the Siena Saints to their fourth win in a row as they defeated Manhattan 59-49.

Anthony led the Saints in scoring with an 18-point effort, adding four rebounds, three steals and three assists. The second-year guard shot 7-for-14 from the field, hitting 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Senior Sabrina Piper put up 12 points with five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. The Green and Gold led from start to finish, as the Jaspers never held a lead.

Head Coach Jim Jabir is 2-2 all-time against the Jaspers, with all four games coming while as head coach of the Saints. The last time he faced the Jaspers was his final game at the helm of the Saints in his first stint, as the Green and Gold were defeated by Manhattan in the MAAC Semifinals by a final score of 60-45.
