The Siena Women's Tennis team began their final fall weekend with a statement, going 16-4 in matches on the first day of the Colgate Invitational in Hamilton.
 
With a round robin approach to the play, the Saints played singles against Colgate and Marist, while playing doubles against Hamilton College. Against Colgate, the Saints took five of seven courts in singles to take a 5-2 win. Siena did the same against Marist in single sets to eight, taking six of seven singles courts.
 
The success continued into their lone doubles match of the day, as Siena topped Hamilton College 3-1 in four courts. Megan Brown and Madeline De Faber-Schmacher were the two Saints to go a perfect 3-0 on the day.
 
Siena returns to action tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. when they play the second day of the Colgate Invitational.
