LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Women's Tennis team finished their weekend on a high note, finishing their weekend with a complete two-day score of 30-6 as they completed their matches with Colgate, Marist, and Hamilton College at the Colgate Invitational.
The Saints took two of three doubles matches against Colgate on the day, giving Siena a 9-3 final against the Raiders.
Alexa Wilson and
Meagan Brown won 7-5, while
Laia Giralt and Reagan Mullaney took a 6-2 win.
Siena's other doubles match on the day came against MAAC foe Marist, with the Saints sweeping through all four courts – with one default. Brown and Wilson continued their strong play with a 6-0 win, with
Maanya Viswanath and
Emma Boggiali taking a 6-4 victory as well. Mullaney and Giralt had a tough contest at the #2 spot, eventually winning 7-6 (6) to keep the sweep.
The final match was singles play against Hamilton, where the Saints swept through with seven singles wins and one default, finishing that match with a 10-2 final score.
The Saints conclude their fall season, with their next match coming on Sunday, Jan. 29 when the Green and Gold play host to LIU at Tri-City Fitness in Latham.
