BOSTON, MA – Siena Cross Country & Track began its second season of 2022-23 by picking up where it left off from cross country season. Select Saints runners turned in solid performances in the 5,000-meter race at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday evening.
Fifth year Olivia Lomascolo clocked a time of 16:31.76 to finish 70th individually and log the program's fastest indoor time and second-fastest mark overall in the event. Senior Delia McDade Clay finished 92nd at 17:03.70 to improve on her previous best time by nearly 14 seconds and move into fourth all-time in the event.
On the men's side, senior Brandon Olden ran a time of 14:25.46 for 123rd individually, while defending MAAC outdoor 5k champion Aidan Gillooley placed 138th with a mark of 14:34.87, while senior Tommy Anderson finished 158th at 14:53.71.
Siena Indoor Track will resume competition in the new year, beginning with the Utica Winter Opener on Saturday, January 14.
