LEWISBURG, PA – Siena Outdoor Track concluded weekend action at the Bison Outdoor Invitational on the campus of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania Saturday, with more solid times pouring in.
The Saints' day two action was highlighted by freshman
Claire Gardner capturing her second freshman program record in as many days. After setting the freshman record in the 1500 on Friday, the Chestnut Ridge, New York product set a new rookie mark in the 800, putting forth a time of 2:16.10 for the third-fastest mark overall in program history.
Junior
Delia McDade Clay also cracked the top-five in the 800 with a time of 2:16.58 for the fourth-best in school history. On the men's side, sophomore
Killian McNamee cracked the program's top-five with a time of 1:55.14 for the fifth-fastest in the event.
Siena also put forth participants in the 3000 and the mile, with freshman
Kayla Schmidt placing third overall in the women's 3k with a time of 10:16.9. Freshman
Nathaniel Sletten took fifth place on the men's side with a time of 8:42.37, while sophomore
Ben Guerin placed eighth at 8:46.55. Senior
Olivia Durant paced the Siena women in the mile with a mark of 5:39.07, while freshman
Nik Springer ran a time of 4:38.10 on the men's side.
Siena will be back in action next weekend at the Rider Invitational in New Jersey on Saturday, April 23.
