LOUDONVILLE, NY – Eight different players registered both hits and runs scored as Siena Baseball powered past Fordham 12-7 in midweek action at Connors Park.
Siena (7-19) scored seven unanswered runs in the middle innings to secure a split of their midweek home-and-home series against Fordham (6-19) this season. The Rams prevailed two Tuesday's ago 11-6 in the Bronx.
The Saints doubled up Fordham 8-4 following a decisive five-run fourth.
Alex Milone, who registered a game-high three RBI, capped the rally with a two-run single.
The Rams rallied within 9-7 in the seventh, but Siena sealed the deal with three insurance runs in the eighth, punctuated by
Matt Livingston's third home run of the season.
Livingston was one of three Saints to register multi-hit performances along with Milone and
Randall Hien, who doubled twice as part of a career-best three-hit afternoon.
Siena relievers
Kyle Lev (3.1 innings) and
Noah Rodriguez (4.0) combined to allow just three runs over 7.1 effective innings of work to secure their first career wins and saves, respectively.
The Saints conclude their season-long nine-game homestand tomorrow when they host Army West Point at 3 p.m.
