LOUDONVILLE, NY – Tom Peltier and Levi Abbott combined on a four-hit shutout as Canisius completed the weekend sweep of Siena Baseball 8-0 at Connors Park.
Peltier allowed just two hits while walking only one and striking out nine over six innings to secure his first win of the season for Canisius (21-18, 11-4). Abbott finished things off with three shutout frames to hand Siena (9-30, 6-9) its first shutout in 24 games.
The Golden Griffins led an early pitcher's duel 1-0 into the fifth, before putting up a decisive four-spot. Canisius added single insurance runs in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings. Jake Zurat and Mike Mazzara led the way with three hits apiece for the Griffs who pounded out 14 total.

Chris Erickson accounted for the hits for the Saints who have dropped six straight.
Siena returns to action Wednesday for a midweek non-conference matchup at ACC foe Boston College at 4 p.m.
