WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Siena Outdoor Track concluded the 2022 ECAC/Ic4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships on a high note Sunday afternoon on the campus of the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Saints set new program records in both the men's and women's 4x800 meter relays, marking the third and fourth school records recorded on the weekend.
The men's team of freshman
Luke Tkaczyk, sophomore
Griffin Cooke, junior
Matthew Laframboise, and junior
Tommy Anderson set their program's top mark for the second time this season with a time of 7:40.38 for a tenth-place finish. The time bested the former best time of 7:43.60, set last month at the Rider Outdoor Invitational.
The women's group of freshman
Claire Gardner, freshman
Keira Flaherty, sophomore
Jennifer McClintock, and junior
Delia McDade Clay recorded a time of 9:17.26 and a sixth-place finish, which gave them All-East honors. The time beat out the former record of 9:18.61 run at last year's ECAC Championships.
The men's team finished in a tie for 20
th, while the women's squad concluded in a split for 23
rd. James Madison won the ECAC title, while Army West Point took the Ic4A Championship.
Siena will now wait until Wednesday, May 18 to find out if any team members qualify for the 2022 NCAA East Regional Preliminary races, which will be held May 25-28 in Bloomington, Indiana.
