LOUDONVILLE, NY – Coming off two straight victories, the Siena Volleyball team looks forward and onto conference play as they also make their home debut of 2022 in the UHY Center on Saturday and Sunday. The Saints host Iona Saturday before facing Manhattan on Sunday, with both matches commencing at 3 p.m.

Siena is coming off victories over Merrimack and Hartford, with Sunday's victory over the Hawks by a final of 3-0. Junior
Hailey Hinkel ran up 10 kills in three sets to lead the Saints against Hartford. For her efforts over the weekend, sophomore
Sara Wagner was named to the Dartmouth Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Hinkel's 10 kills were backed up by a nine-kill effort from graduate student
Emily Wunder, with Wagner chipping in seven kills and a team-high four aces. Senior
Gracie Halley added 12 digs, and
Claire Isaksen tossed out 21 assists. As a team, the Saints hit a season-high .346. on attack.

Siena has won their last three against the Gaels, sweeping Iona last season with 3-2 and 3-0 victories. The Saints and Gaels are meeting for the 53
rd time, with Siena holding a 35-17 advantage in the series. In the last meeting, Wunder finished with 12 kills and added four blocks to her resume on the afternoon, with
Abby Huffman supplying six blocks that included two of the solo variety.
Sara Wagner and
Maddy Dunigan each supplied nine kills apiece.
Gracie Halley completed a solid defensive weekend with 14 digs. As a team, the Saints would hit a season-high .310 over the complete match.

Against Manhattan, the Saints will meet with them for the 57
th time and hold a 36-20 advantage over the Jaspers. Siena has won three of the last four matches – including a two-match sweep last season in Loudonville. Siena took a 3-0 victory earlier in the season on Sept. 26 and a 3-1 victory on Oct. 23.
Gracie Halley tied a previous career-high with 27 digs, as the Saints totaled 19 blocks as a team.

Led by Halley, the Saints had five different players with double-digit digs as
Sara Wagner,
Greta Stjade, and
Claire Isaksen all had 14 digs, while
Emily Wunder chipped in 10. Wagner had a strong showing, completing a double-double with those 14 digs by scoring a team-high 14 kills. Freshman
Olga Sawinska and Wunder each collected seven kills apiece, with Sawinska added four blocks. Senior
Abby Huffman would secure five blocks on the day, with one being of the solo variety. Freshman
Claire Isaksen also added a double-double, tossing out 19 assists with her 14 digs.
