The Siena Men's Tennis team continued their weekend success on Saturday afternoon, as the Green and Gold competed in the second day of the Binghamton Invitational.
Early in the day saw
Dante Russo and
Tomas del Olmo have success in singles play, with Russo coming out with a 6-2, 6-1 victory while del Olmo had a hard fought 7-5, 7-5 win.
Jose Pablo Davila also pulled out a win 4-6, 6-0, 10-7, with
Agustin Suarez coming in with a slick 6-2, 6-1.
Marvin Oberli finished off round play with a win in his flight, going 6-1, 6-2 for the win.
As it turned to later singles action, Russo came out on top in the Lane flight final by a final score of 6-1, 6-7 (5), 10-7. Suarez also won the final of his bracket, putting up a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Davila finished third in his bracket, winning 6-1, 6-2 to claim the finish.
Edward Vo also finished third in his bracket, while Oberli won his bracket consolation final.
The Saints return to action tomorrow, Sept 25 in the final day of the tournament. Play will commence at 9 a.m.
