The Siena Women's Tennis team had multiple players compete in Day 1 of the ITA Regionals held at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire., The Saints' doubles play stood out on the afternoon.
Sophomore
Laia Giralt and junior
Alexa Wilson took a win in doubles play, defeating a pair from Yale by an 8-2 final score. After their first-round win, the pair would then fall to Syracuse in the second round by an 8-4 final. Also competing in doubles was
Emma Boggiali and
Reegan Mullaney, as the pair fell to Rhode Island by an 8-2 final.
In singles play, Mullaney played well but fell to Harvard 7-5, 6-2 with Wilson also competing well but falling 6-3, 7-5. Giralt faced UConn and lost, with Boggiali also losing her match to Dartmouth.
Siena returns to action on Oct. 15 & 16 when they head to Hamilton to compete in the Colgate Invitational.
