Siena Women's Tennis had a strong showing in singles play on the first day of the ITA Northeast Regionals played at Harvard's Beren Tennis Center in Cambridge, MA Friday.

Junior
Laia Giralt improved to 5-1 in singles play this season, outlasting graduate student Vitalina Golud of Sacred Heart 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 to advance to the round of 64 on Saturday.
Senior
Emma Boggiali upped her record to 3-1 in singles competition after defeating Madison Warren of Stonehill 6-4, 6-2.
Freshman
Manuela Gomez also won in straight sets, knocking off Stonehill's Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez
In doubles competition,
Alexa Wilson and Giralt split their matches.
The duo picked up an 8-4 win against Ciara O'Toole and Katsiaryna Starastsenka before falling to Polina Kozyreva and Ines Fonte 8-1.
The Saints continue play in the ITA Northeast Regionals in day two action on Saturday beginning at 9 AM.
