The Siena Women's Tennis team had some bright moments throughout the afternoon, but ultimately dropped its' match to Fordham 5-2 on Sunday at the Tri-City Tennis Facility.
The Saints (1-4) made it interesting with victories at the singles #2 and #5 positions from junior
Alexa Wilson and freshman
Madeline De Faber-Schumacher and received gamely efforts by
Meagan Brown and Wilson at the #1 doubles spot as well as
Maanya Viswanath at the singles #4 court, who took her opponent to a tie-breaker.
The Rams improved to 4-1.
Next up, Siena will host Lafayette (1-1) on Friday at 11 a.m. at Sportime Schenectady.
The Saints lead the all-time series against the Leopards 5-1 since 2005.
