The Siena Men's Tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision against nonconference opponent Bucknell in Hershey, PA at the Hershey Racquet Club late Friday night.
The doubles point went to the Bison, but the Saints (4-4) were able to fight back to make it interesting.
Singles play took place on three courts, so the top three flights took the courts first. Siena won two of three there with Russo earning a third set super tie-breaker win against Amar Tahirovic 3-6, 6-0, 13-11. In the singles #3 match,
Agustin Suarez also went into a deep match, overcoming Michael Owen 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.
Edward Vo helped even the team scores at three apiece with a straight sets victory over Tim Zelikovsky 6-4, 7-5.
But Bucknell was able to take the final singles match at #6 as Oscar Moreno de Vega topped Max Acri 6-2, 6-2.
Siena gets right back at it today at 1 PM at Lehigh (4-4) for a nonconference match.
