Jacksonville scored eight unanswered runs to rally past Siena Baseball 11-6 and complete the four-game series sweep in North Florida.
Siena (0-7) overcame a three-run first inning deficit by exploding for five runs in the second. The five runs matched the Saints' game-high total in scoring from their first six contests. Siena only had one hit in the frame but made it count, with
Donovan Montgomery delivering a bases-clearing three-run triple.
But Jacksonville (5-3) chipped away with single runs in the home half of the second and the fourth to draw even, before going back on top 6-5 on a Blake DeLamielleure solo homer in the fifth. The Dolphins than secured some breathing room with a decisive three-run sixth.
Six different Saints tallied one hit apiece, while
Ramsey Collins was the lone hurler to register a clean frame.
Siena continues their Spring Break trip to Florida with a two-game midweek series at Stetson. The Saints return to action Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in DeLand, Florida.
