Siena Men's Tennis wrapped up their three-day Pennsylvania road trip with a 4-0 defeat against Temple at the Hecht Tennis Center on Penn's campus on Sunday.
The Saints (5-5) got behind early after dropping the doubles point in the #2 and the #3 spots.
Agustin Suarez and
Matt Nardone fell to Hussein El Tawl and Louis Gorregues 6-2 and then Marin Delmas and Alberto Blumenschien topped the Saints'
Jose Pablo Davila and
Tomas del Olmo 6-3.
In singles play,
Dante Russo played competitively from the top seed before succumbing to Marin Delmas 6-3, 7-6 (7-5). Del Olmo and Suarez also lost in straight sets from the singles #2 and #3 positions. The rest of play was incomplete.
The Owls (7-2) won their seventh straight and entered the weekend ranked No. 72.
Siena will have a week off before returning to their home courts of Tri-City Fitness in Latham with a match up against Colgate on Sunday at 1:45 p.m.
