Richmond pitching limited Siena Baseball to just one run over 18 innings to sweep the series-opening doubleheader in Virginia. The Spiders shutout the Saints 6-0 in the opener, and took the nightcap 5-1.
Game One: Richmond 6, Siena 0
Brock Weirather allowed just three hits without issuing a walk and struck out seven over eight innings as Richmond (9-10) shutout Siena (2-15) in the series-opener.
Jake Elbeery capped a decisive three-run fifth inning with a two-run single for the Spiders, which also added single runs in the second, third, and eighth frames.

Aiden Stewart, and Randall Hein – accounted for the Saints hits.
Game Two: Richmond 5, Siena 1
For the second time in as many games, Richmond put together a three-run fifth inning to complete the doubleheader sweep. Johnny Hipsman started the scoring with a two-run single in the frame.
Freshman
Nick Bergamotto accounted for three of Siena's six hits, and drove in the lone run on an RBI single scoring classmate
Louis Percival in the seventh.
Brenden Argomaniz (five innings pitched) and Esteban Rodriguez (four) combined to limit the Saints to just six hits and three walks.
Siena will try to salvage the series Sunday at noon.
