Siena Women's Tennis took several matches deep, but were unable to finish them out as the Saints dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Sacred Heart on Friday night at Tri-City Fitness in Latham.
The back end of the singles depth showed out for the Saints, however, as freshman
Madeline De Faber-Schumacher won a marathon against Ciara O'Toole 6-3, 4-6, 11-9 from the number five spot.
Jade Gautier demonstrated resolve as well after getting blanked in the opening set and came back to claim a 0-6, 6-4, 10-7 victory at the number six spot against Flavia Rambaldi.

Emma Boggiali were all in closely contested matches, but dropped in straight sets.
Maanya Viswanath pushed her number three match to three sets, but eventually fell 3-6, 6-4, 6-10 to Olivia Kharkover.
Brown and Wilson took the doubles first flight 6-4 over Vitalina Golod and Kim Fenton, but fell in the next two pairings to surrender the doubles point.
Siena (5-9) will open MAAC play against Mount St. Mary's (8-3) on Sunday at the Hershey Racquet Club in Hershey, Pa.
