LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Basketball saw a student-athlete named to the prestigious Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association (ADA) Women's Scholar Athlete Team for the fifth time overall and the first time since 2013.
Departing sophomore
Emina Selimovic earned D1-AAA ADA Scholar Athlete honors for the first time in her collegiate career, while holding a 3.9 cumulative GPA as an economics major. The Erie, Pennsylvania native - who was also named a CSC Academic All-District selection this season – Averaged 7.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in 30 games for the Saints during the 2022-23 season.
Selimovic joins Lily Grenci (2012 & 2013), Lauren Surber (2005), and Whitney Cave (2005) as Siena Women's Basketball student athletes to have been named to the team.
Siena Women's Basketball recently concluded a 19-13 campaign with a 12-8 mark in MAAC play, which saw them earn a first-round postseason bye for the second straight season and advance to the MAAC Semifinals.
Now in its 22nd year, the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association's mission is to enhance initiatives common to its Division I-AAA membership (the 98 Division I institutions that do not sponsor football), in particular, aspects related to their flagship basketball programs.
