Oscar Martinez and
Dylan Breen will be playing on at the ITA Regionals.
The pair worked together to defeat Edward Liao and Zhengqing Ji of Yale 8-5 in the round of 64 in the men's doubles draw on Friday in Cambridge, Ma.
Martinez and Breen advance to face Carl Sjoholm and Yasha Laskin of conference foe Quinnipiac at 10:30 am on the outdoors court in the round of 32 for an All-MAAC match up.
In singles competition, Martinez was the lone Saint to take part in the singles' main draw after three Siena players took part in the singles' qualifying draw on Thursday.
The La Guaira, Venezuelan native dropped a tough match to Eric Verdes of Cornell 7-5, 6-2 in the round of 64.
The tournament features the top men's tennis players from across the country. Two singles finalists from each of the 26 regions around the U.S. will have the opportunity to compete in the NCAA Singles Championship. The doubles champion from each of 13 regions will play for the doubles title.
