LOUDONVILLE, NY – Fresh off a thrilling five-set victory this past Wednesday over I-87 rival Marist, Siena Volleyball will be seeking to keep the momentum rolling at it faces two more conference opponents in Manhattan and Iona on Saturday and Sunday at the UHY Center.
The match will be streamed on
ESPN+ with Chris Watson and James Hosley on the call and it will also be "Volleyball Bingo Saturday" with fans in attendance to receiving a volleyball themed bingo cards to play for special giveaway prizes.
On Sunday, the Saints will take on Iona (3-12, 1-2 MAAC entering Saturday) in another important MAAC match up. Fans in attendance will receive Saints Sunglasses as supplies last. Ryan Zimmerman and Hosley will have the broadcast on
ESPN+. Both matches are slated for 2 p.m. start.

The Saints (2-12, 1-2 MAAC) found just what they were looking in on Wednesday night by closing a tight match—and receiving a big boost from redshirt freshman
Salme Adeele Hollas, who recorded five of the last six Saints points in the tie-breaking set.
Hollas finished with a season-high 17 kills on a highly efficient .382 hitting percentage, 11 digs, two aces and two blocks.
The Tartu, Estonia native got plenty of backing from her teammates as
Sara Wagner,
Olga Sawinska and
Doga Diraz all reached double digits in kills.
Wagner leads the team in kills per set with 3.36, good for fifth in the conference. The Saints have also received some solid serving from
Sina Toroslu (24 aces, ranks fourth in the MAAC) and
Oliwia Majtyka (17 aces, ranks eighth in the MAAC).
Manhattan will be seeking to snap a six-match losing skid, having last won vs. Le Moyne back on Sept. 13 in a four-setter. The Jaspers are coming off a closely played three set defeat against Iona (25-20, 25-23, 25-21) this past Wednesday in Riverdale.
Manhattan's upfront production has come largely from Maike Bertens (3.60 kills per set—ranks third in the MAAC) and Mikalah Curran (3.33 kills per set-ranks sixth in the MAAC). Sarah Emmons is their top passer at 8.08 assists per set to rank third in the conference.
The teams last meet with Manhattan pulling out a five-set victory (25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12) in 2023. Siena leads the all-time series 38-22.
Iona (3-12, 1-2 MAAC) is led by Mackenzie Wiggins (160 kills, 3.33 kills per set to rank seventh in the conference) and Jaylyn Simon (249 assists, 5.53 assists per set for eighth in the conference).
Siena leads the all-time series 36-20.
