Levin named Assistant Athletic Director/Facilities

Saints welcome knowledgeable groundskeeper to Loudonville

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena College has appointed Lias Levin as Assistant Athletic Director /Facilities to the Saints Athletics Administration. 

"The athletic department is extremely excited to announce the addition of our new Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities, Lias Levin," said Siena Associate Athletic Director/Operators Andrew Santandera.

"Lias comes to Siena with great experience and knowledge in the field of athletic facilities. Lias is going to be a great fit to our athletic department and the Siena community as a whole."

"I'm really excited for the opportunity to be a part of Siena College," Levin said. "The reputation and the culture of what they represent is top notch. I can continue my passion close to home.  I love working in sports and having the ability to mend that together and be close to my loved ones is the main drawing point." 

Previously, Levin served as the full-time Athletic Facilities Manager for the University of Montana in Missoula handling the management of the Grizzly Indoor Practice Facility and assistance in the Washington-Grizzly Stadium operations and groundskeeping. 

Other duties included turf and grass maintenance and painting for football, softball, soccer and track & field.  Facility maintenance included policy and procedure creation, client relations, athletic facility sales, student and part-time worker supervision and facility scheduling. 

Prior to that position, Levin also was the groundskeeper for AMB Sports + Entertainment for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA where he provided help with the overall maintenance of synthetic turf sports fields, the Home Depot Backyard and stadium grounds. 

Levin has also served at Georgia State as the Athletic Facilities and Operations Graduate Assistant, the Athletic Communications Student assistant for Castleton University (now VTSU) as well as a football operations assistant with the Southern Vermont Storm in Bennington, Vt.

Levin holds a MS. Sports Administration degree from George State University and a B.S. in Sports Management from Castleton University (VT) and an A.A. in Liberal Studies (Arts) from Community College of Vermont. 

He resides in Clifton Park, NY with his girlfriend Tianna and their three-legged dog Jax and is originally from Bennington, VT.
