LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Athletics has named
Riley Powell to the position of Saints Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
Powell comes to Loudonville after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance with the University of Texas at Dallas.Â

In his position at UT Dallas, Powell monitored all recruitment contacts, official and unofficial visits, tryouts, and camps and clinics, ensured that CARA limitations were met and countable competitions and dates of competition were followed. In addition, he reviewed the financial aid matrix to ensure that coaches were following FGIA, COA and equivalency limits and created and administered all rules education to the entire athletics staff and created the university's NIL policy.Â

Powell is a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University's School of Law and holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Sport Management with minors in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. Â Powell was honored with the Academic Excellence Award for his publication of a NIL article in the QU Probate Law Journal and held a class ranking of 11
th from a pool of 118.Â
He also served as a compliance intern within the MAAC at Sacred Heart, a paralegal for the Lamboley Law Firm and was a team manager for the UConn women's soccer team.Â
Powell resides in Menands.Â
