LOUDONVILLE, NY - Months of offseason work and preparation have come down to Wednesday night for Siena Women's Basketball. Under first-year head coach
Terry Primm, the Saints begin their 2024-25 season at home against the Army West Point Black Knights. The program's 51st season, and 42nd Division I season, tips-off from the UHY Center at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the team's season opener can be purchased through the corresponding link, and start at just $12 for adult chairback seating, $10 for both adult and senior general admission, and $7 for children.
Season tickets are still available to catch the Saints in action this season, and are priced at only $168 for adult chairbacks – an average of just $10.50 per game - $70 for child chairback seating, and $224 for courtside seating options.
Primm has played an integral role in the improvement of the Siena Women's Basketball program since his arrival four seasons ago, highlighted by consecutive MAAC Semifinals appearances the past two seasons for the first time in 11 years. The Detroit native helped Siena achieve an 18-12 overall record including a 14-6 ledger in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action during the 2023-24 season, marking the program's most league victories in more than two decades dating back to the 2002-03 season.
Primm previously led the Saints for seven games as acting head coach during the 2022-23 season, guiding the team to a 6-1 record.
The depth of the Saints was on full display in the team's 80-48 exhibition victory over American International on Fri., Nov. 1. Four players netted double-digit points - highlighted by
Eszter Turi's 16 off the bench.
Ahniysha Jackson (14),
Anajah Brown (12), and freshman
Aniya Hooker (11) joined the scoring spree. Another newcomer,
Zyriah Price, had an evening on the boards, reeling in a team best 10.
Along with Price,
Teresa Seppala (seven), Turi (seven), and Brown (six) handled the glass, while Turi and Brown combined for seven blocks to keep AIC outside the paint.
Under fourth-year head coach Missy Traversi, the Black Knights enter Wednesday 0-1 on the young season following a 60-54 home loss to Cornell on Monday. In the game, Army shot 35.4 percent from the floor, and 29.4 from three. Fiona Hastic (18), 2023-24 Second Team All-Patriot League selection Trinity Hardy (10), and Kya Smith (10) reached double figures for the team, while Smith (nine) and Hardy (seven) combined for 16 of the team's 28 rebounds.
Wednesday will mark the first meeting between Siena and Army since Nov. 20, 1984. Army currently leads the all-time series 3-1, including a win in the most recent meeting which came in Loudonville, 66-53. Siena's lone win in the series came in the only other game played in Loudonville, a 47-46 victory on Jan. 16, 1980.

Following Wednesday, the Saints will make a cross-country trip to Washington for their first-ever meeting with the Huskies. Tip-off from the Alaska Airlines Arena is set for 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT).
