Manuela Gomez all represented the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in the ITA Conference Masters Tournament on Thursday after earning automatic qualifying bids back on Oct. 6.
With draw sizes of 32 for both the singles and doubles fields representing 32 Division I conferences, Martinez competed in the round of 32 men's singles draw while Giralt and Gomez partnered up to play in the round of 32 for the women's doubles draw at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga.
At stake was the opportunity to be among four singles players and three doubles teams to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
Martinez, a native of La Guaira, Venezuela, played gamely in a tight defeat against UNC Willington's Joseph Wayand 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
On the women's side, Giralt, a native of Barcelona, Spain, and Gomez, a native of Bogota, Colombia, dropped their match to the Boise State duo of Zdena Safaova and Maya Dutta 6-0, 6-1.
Siena has now concluded the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule and will return to the courts in January 2025.
