LOUDONVILLE, NY - Coming off an exhilarating victory over UAlbany on Dec. 7 to claim the Albany Cup, Siena Women's Basketball turns its focus to another America East Conference opponent in Binghamton. Tip-off between the Saints and Bearcats on Sun., Dec. 15 is set for 2 p.m. from the UHY Center.

Siena's most recent outing against UAlbany featured a handful of season bests from a few different players.
Ahniysha Jackson's 23 points were her most in a single-game this season, taking her double-digit scoring streak to four straight games, as well as six of seven this season. Her four rebounds were also a single-game most, while
Teresa Seppala tied her season high of eight boards.
KB Hadley's 15 points in the win served as her Siena career high while also tying her single-game most three assists and two steals.
While not a career high, freshman guard
Aniya Hooker continued her consistent stretch from beyond the arc in last Saturday's victory. Hooker cashed in on a three-point bucket for the fifth consecutive game, and has made eight over her last five outings. Shooting at a .533 clip (8-15), the rookie's percentage tops the MAAC and, if qualified, would be a top-five mark in Division I.
The three-game winning streak has been fueled by the Saints' recent scoring surge - going from 49.8 points per game over the first four games to 71.3 over the last three - as well as the team's improvement on the boards - increasing its per-game total from 30.6 per outing over the first four games to 39.3 over the last three.
On the offensive glass, the Saints have averaged 14 per game over their recent three-game winning streak to help produce 41 total second chance points (13.7 per game) after averaging 8.5 over their first four games.
The Bearcats own a 5-4 record entering their 10th game of the season under first-year head coach Mary Grimes, who is a 2003 Siena Women's Basketball alumnae (Mary McKissack), and a member of the 2001 MAAC championship team. Binghamton has narrowly out-scored opponents 62.1-58.6, with the offense displaying even distribution among scorers. Jadyn Weltz leads the team netting 11.9 PPG, while Leah Middleton is the only other player scoring in double figures (10.9).
Siena and Binghamton enter Sunday deadlocked at 5-5 in the all-time series that began in the 2009-10 season. After dropping the first three games, Siena has won five of the last seven including each of the previous two. Also, each of the last three games between the teams have been decided by nine or fewer points. The Saints are 2-3 all-time against the Bearcats in games played in Loudonville.
The Saints were in full control of last season's matchup played in Vestal, NY - taking a 23-point lead into the fourth quarter. While Binghamton chipped away to eventually fall by just nine points, Siena's three quarters of dominance was too much to overcome in the team's 73-64 win. Three current Saints notched double figures in points, including Jackson with 12, and
Anajah Brown with a 17 point, 13 rebound double-double.
Siena turns the page to its league-opening slate at home against Niagara at 6 p.m. on Thur., Dec. 19, and Canisius at 2 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 21. Tickets for both games are available by visiting
