Women’s Lacrosse Downed by Binghamton

Saints outscored 10-4 in the second half

The Siena Women's Lacrosse team's late first half lead did not hold as the Saints were downed on the road at Binghamton 15-9 on Wednesday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

Redshirt junior Jordan Bentley provided Siena (2-3) with a brief 5-4 advantage on an unassisted goal with 1:42 remaining in the second quarter, but Binghamton's Olivia Muscolino was able to draw it even at 5-5 on a goal with just 26 seconds to go in the half.

Outshot 26-14 for shots on goal for the game and 35-26 in total shots, the Saints were outscored 10-4 in the second half.

Siena would cut the deficit down to 10-8 with 3:51 remaining in the third quarter on a goal by junior Meghan Decker on a feed in front of the net off the stick of junior attack Grace Dobrzynski.

Dobrzynski led the Saints with one goal and a game-high five assists, while Bentley added two goals and an assist.

Rebecca Gilhooley and Kelly Logue each added two goals apiece.

Sabrina Krasner made 11 saves.

The Bearcats improved to 3-2.

Siena will return home to host Le Moyne (1-2) on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hickey Field.

The Dolphins fell to Niagara 20-8 on Wednesday.
