Siena ran into a hot Buffalo Bulls women's tennis team on Saturday at Miller Tennis Court in Buffalo as the Saints dropped a 7-0 decision.
Buffalo, who had defeated Oakland (MI) earlier in the day by a score of 6-1 kept their unblemished home record intact by improving to 6-0 in home matches and 7-1 overall.
The Saints (0-2) were unable to take a set on the day, but still battled throughout the matches.
"We brought energy and competitiveness from the start," said Siena assistant tennis coach Brenden Boutin.
"We are still early in our spring season and will use a tough match like this one to continue to develop in practice and build towards conference play."
Siena will take a one-week break before traveling to Philadelphia to play Temple (0-2) on Saturday, Feb. 10.
