Before their match hosting Le Moyne on Saturday, the Siena Women's Tennis team and supporters paid tribute to their senior class of four in celebration of the playing careers for Alexa Wilson, Emma Boggiali, Shelby Madeiros and Jade Gautier. 
 
When the matches began, the Saints showed out to the tune of a 5-2 victory against the visiting Dolphins on Senior Day at Tri-City Fitness in Latham. 
 
The Saints (2-7) received a big boost from their senior doubles' teams to earn the opening point and were picked up by a pair of victories from both Wilson and Gautier. 
 
Alexa Wilson teamed with Boggiali to earn a victory from the top doubles spot over Le Moyne's Stella Simeonova and Francesca Lilliegren 6-2. 
 
Madeiros and Gautier were victorious at the number three position by earning a 6-2 win against Paula Casares and Alicia Alvarez. 
 
In singles competition, Laia Giralt upped her record to 9-6 in singles play by picking up a 6-1, 6-1 straight sets win versus Ella Fernando at the no. 2 slot. 
 
Wilson and Gautier also won in straight sets while Manuela Gomez topped Isabella Barona 6-3, 6-3. 
 
"We came out on fire today," said Siena women's tennis head coach John Chiaramonte.
 
"It was great seeing the senior team of Jade [Gautier] and Shelby [Madeiros] clinch the doubles point.  I'm very happy with how our team looks going into MAAC season." 
 
The Dolphins dropped to 4-8 on the season. 
 
Next up, the Saints will play at St. Bonaventure on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. before beginning conference play at Niagara next Saturday, March 23 at 4 p.m.
