Reigning Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Champion Rider scored seven times from the seventh inning on to clinch the series from Siena Baseball 10-1 in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
 
For the second straight day, Rider (11-14, 8-0) received stellar starting pitching to secure its ninth straight win overall, while building upon the best MAAC start in program history. Brian Young went eight strong innings, retiring 10 of the last 11 batters he faced to earn the win. Young struck out seven without issuing a walk.
 
Siena (5-22, 3-2) strung together three straight two-out hits to claim an early lead in the opening inning on an RBI double from Tyler Figueroa. The Saints tallied five hits over the first two innings and eight through five, but eight of their nine total hits on the afternoon were singles.
 
The Broncs maintained a tight 3-1 lead, before breaking things open with a three-run seventh and putting the game out of reach with a four-run eighth. Rider scored its seven runs over their final two innings at bat despite combining for just three totals hits in those frames, capitalizing off of four walks and a pair of costly errors.
 
Siena will look to salvage the series Sunday at noon.
