LOUDONVILLE, NY – The top-two hitters in the Marist order, Ethan Conrad and Bayram Hot, combined for five hits and five RBI to lead the Red Foxes past Siena Baseball 6-1 in the series-opener at Connors Park.
 
Hot opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the second, while Conrad added a two-run ground-rule double to spark a three-run sixth for Marist (16-31, 9-13).
 
That was all the offense that Caleb Kempner and Jack Keenan needed, as the Red Fox duo combined to five-hit Siena (9-37, 5-14). Kempler went 6.2 to earn the win, while Keenan added 2.1 shutout innings of relief.
 
The Saints scored their lone run in the fifth on an RBI double from Randall Hien to plate Kobe Stenson. The duo each tallied a pair of hits apiece to account for four of the five total Siena hits.
 
The Saints will seek to even the series Saturday at 1 p.m.
