LOUDONVILLE, NY – The UHY Center will be front and center for action-packed volleyball over the course of the next three days beginning tomorrow when the Saints host Syracuse in its home opener at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday to begin a six-match, round robin format that also features Idaho and NJIT.
Two matches will follow on Friday's slate with the designated home team Syracuse facing NJIT at 2:30 p.m. followed by the host Saints taking on Idaho at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday features a triple-header with home designated NJIT facing Idaho at 11 a.m., home designated Syracuse taking on Idaho at 4 p.m. and wrapping up with host Siena playing NJIT starting at approximately 6 p.m. with a guaranteed 60 minutes of warm up following the conclusion of the Syracuse-Idaho match. All matches are available to watch on Siena All-Access.
Admission is free to the matches.
Each Siena match will have a special promotion.
The first 50 people to attend the Siena-Syracuse match on Thursday will receive a free t-shirt.
On Friday, the first 50 people who attend the Siena-Idaho match will receive a free water bottle.
And, on Saturday, Saints fans can play bingo during the game and have an opportunity to win prizes.

Siena (1-5) will look to shake off a three-match skid stemming from the Red Flash Classic last weekend, where it took two matches to five sets against Mercyhurst and Penn and dropped its last match to host Saint Francis (PA) in three sets.

Sara Wagner is having another top season for the Saints as the Polish native ranks ninth in the MAAC in kills per set (3.13), seventh in service aces (0.46) and is seventh in points per set (3.75).

About Syracuse
The Orange (6-0) have reversed their fortunes after finishing 2-26 last season, winning in sweeps against NJIT, Canisius, and Columbia and four-set victories versus Lafayette, Fordham and Manhattan.
Syracuse has hit .288 as a team and has excelled on the net, picking up nearly twice as many blocks with a 62.5 to 34.0 edge in the category.
The Orange led by head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam, remain just one of four teams in the ACC that are still undefeated, joining Miami, Stanford and Pitt.
Graduate student middle blocker Sydney Moore ranks third in the ACC in hitting percentage (.467) and is third in total blocks per set (1.33).

About Idaho
The Vandals (0-6) will be looking to shake the slow start, having won just one set against UC Riverside and losing their five matches in straight sets at Alabama A&M, versus Southern Illinois and UT Chattanooga in matches played in Huntsville, AL, and two matches at Southern Utah.
Idaho has hit .116 as a team while opponents have hit .289 versus them. Sophomore opposite Zuzanna Wieczorek has been a bright spot, ranking 10
th in the Big Sky Conference in hitting percentage (.268) with a team-high 49 kills while Ada Isik is ninth in the conference with 3.11 digs per set.

The Highlanders (2-7) have notched victories against Le Moyne in a sweep and also defeated Sacred Heart in a five-setter. It lost a pair of five-set matches against Lafayette and Saint Peter's and also lost in straight sets at Syracuse, Kent State, at Seton Hall and this past Tuesday at St. John's.
NJIT is hitting .105 as a team while opponents have hit .192.
Senior middle blocker Ines Varela ranks second in the America East Conference in blocks per set with 1.15 while freshman setter Cece Marino is also second in the conference in service aces per set with 0.52.
NJIT is coached by Pedro Trevino.
