LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Basketball will play its lone public preseason exhibition when the Saints host local foe Division III Union Sunday at 2 p.m. on campus at the UHY Center.
Tickets to the exhibition are priced at $20 and can be secured in advance
online (fees apply), or purchased on gameday at the UHY Center Box Office, located inside the Schmitz Lobby, which opens at 12:30 p.m. The Siena team bench will be located in front of Section C for this game. Tickets are $5 at the door for students (with valid Siena ID), and FREE for Siena students who have already registered in advance for the
Dog Pound.
Siena heads into the forthcoming 2025-26 season with high expectations. After equaling the ninth best turnaround nationally in Year One under
Gerry McNamara last season – and with four of their top-five scorers back – the Saints were predicted to finish second according to the recently released
MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, which included three first-place votes.
Justice Shoats was unanimously named a Preseason First Team All-MAAC selection, while
Gavin Doty secured Second Team acclaim for a Siena squad which returns at least 65% of its scoring (68.1%), rebounding (65.4%), and assists (69.0%) from a season ago, while also welcoming eight newcomers highlighted by three impact transfers.
Â
The Saints figure to be tested by a Union team which returns its entire roster from last season's squad which posted a 16-11 overall record and advanced to the Liberty League Semifinals.
Â
The Capital Region foes previously met seven times in regular season action from 1957-76, with Siena holding a 4-3 all-time advantage. The programs squared off most recently in exhibition action on Nov. 8, 2008, with the Saints securing a 99-47 triumph on campus.
Â
2025-26 Siena Men's Basketball season and single game tickets are on-sale now.
