The Siena Men's Tennis team ran a record of 3-2 in singles play and 2-4 in doubles pairings on the final day of the Colgate Invitational played at the J.W. Abrahamson Tennis Courts on Sunday against Colgate and Le Moyne.
Freshman
Mars Argun and sophomores
Bruno Loch Varella and
Emilio Zavala Salinas each picked up victories in singles competition.
Argun topped the host Raiders' senior Aidan Chung 6-2, 6-4 while Varella went the distance to defeat Colgate junior Parker McGowan 6-3, 5-7, 10-6.
Zavala earned a straight sets victory against Colgate first-year student athlete Nolan Bohan.
Junior
Sviatoslav Koliadynskyi and Varella teamed together to get past Jerome Falcon and McGowan 7-6 (5).
Argun and junior
Matteo Castellazzi each also victorious in doubles play with a 6-4 win against the Colgate duo of Witt Bulger and Chung.
Siena wraps up its fall schedule with a dual match up at Stonehill in Easton, MA this Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. at the Charles Watt Tennis Courts.
