Two standout players from Siena Volleyball were named to the All-MAAC Teams on Thursday, the MAAC office announced on Thursday.
Based upon head coaches votes from the 12 conference volleyball members, junior right side
Doga Diraz became the first Siena Volleyball player to make the All-MAAC Second Team since
Sara Wagner and Emily Wunder both achieved the feat in 2022 and the 18
th player to be named to the All-MAAC Second Team in the program's history.Â
Freshman right side
Mary Claire Deacy became the 10th player in program history to be named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team on Thursday joining the likes of Jacqueline Skeen (2011), Meghann Wright (2012), Haley Howell and Bobbi Lin Kalama (2013), Samantha Pethokoukis (2014), Darby Taylor (2015), Dakota Jackson (2017),
Olga Sawinska (2021) and
Salme Adeele Hollas (2024).Â
Academically, seven student-athletes from the Siena Volleyball team were announced onto the MAAC All-Academic Team. Members from Siena who made the MAAC All-Academic Team were seniors
Alandra Hasbrouck (MGMT Strategic Human Resources) and
Amelia Robertson (Biology) as well as juniors
Oliwia Majtyka (Computer Science Artificial Intelligence),
Sonja Meyer (Business),
Maggie Seymour (Health Studies Health Science),
Ella Treasure (Astrophysics) and redshirt sophomore
Kayla Jones (Health Studies Health Science).
A total of 103 student-athletes were named to the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Volleyball All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Diraz was named the MAAC Player of the Week on Sept. 9 and made four All-Tournament teams over the course of the seasons including the Syracuse Invitational, Clocktower Hotel, Altoona Grand Red Flash Classic and Stony Brook Invitational All-Tournament teams.
The 6-foot-3 junior from Ankara, Turkey ranked second in the MAAC in kills with 407 and was fifth in the conference in kills per set (3.31). Additionally, Diraz was third in points (474) and fifth in points per set (3.85). She also hit. 239 and added 78 total blocks.
Deacy earned a pair of MAAC Rookie of the Week nods in consecutive weeks on Oct. 14 and 21.
The freshman ranked sixth in the MAAC in hitting percentage at .305 and had more kills than the five players ahead of her in the category including Fairfield's Maya Walker (.428 with 208 kills), Sacred Heart's Cristina Montanez (165 kills on a .360 hitting percentage), Rider's Carley McAleavey (208 kills on a .349 hitting percentage), Niagara's Janiah Robinson (189 kills on a .324 hitting percentage) and Fairfield's Emma Bortolotti 223 kills on a .312 hitting percentage.
The six-foot-2 right side produced 295 kills including 196 kills over the final 16 matches of the season to average 12.25 kills per match in that span.Â
