10 different Saints notch goals; McCarthy tallies seven points in win at Hofstra

While Siena Men's Lacrosse relocated its game down to Hempstead to play at Hofstra on Friday due to field conditions, the Saints made the most of their visit with seven consecutive goals to start on their way to a 17-11 victory over the Pride at Shuart Stadium.

Siena (1-1) set a blistering pace of goals, striking seven within the opening 12:26.

Goals by Patrick Radomski, Will Edell, Conor Hufnagel, Jack Cavaioli, two by Gavin Blenk and another from Ryan McCarthy provided the cushion.

Siena's 17 goals were the most goals scored in a game in nearly six years when it defeated NJIT 20-18 on April 13, 2019.

McCarthy's seven points was the most in a single game by a Saint since he also scored seven points back on April 1, 2023 against Wagner.

In the process, the Northport, NY native came within one point of becoming the 32nd player in Siena Men's Lacrosse history to reach the 100-career points plateau.

Pratt Reynolds broke through with three of his game-high four goals in the second quarter to continue the scoring barrage.

Hofstra (2-1) would close the margin to 14-10 on a goal from Trevor Natalie with 11:39 remaining, but Reynolds, Patrick Linton and Joe Valenza each added scores to put a comfortable distance between the teams.

Backed by the solid goalkeeping of Saints graduate student Andrew Arcuri (made 15 saves), Radomski, Valenza and Jacob Wells each caused two turnovers apiece.

In the face off x position, freshman Logan Banek put forth another impressive performance, winning 18 of 28 and led the team with 12 ground balls.

Siena improved to 1-2 all-time against the Pride.

Siena returns to action on Saturday, February 22 when it travels to take on LIU (1-1) at 1 p.m. from Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
