These are the types of victories that can tell a lot about a team's character.
 
The Siena Men's Tennis kept playing hard and picked up the last two victories of the day from the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions to rally for a 4-3 come-from-behind non-conference victory against Binghamton on the home courts of Tri-City Fitness in Latham on Friday night. 

Sophomores Oscar Martinez and senior Maxwell Acri each picked up two more victories while freshman Emilio Zavala Salinas dug deep for a three-set win to conclude play with a 6-7 (2), 7-6 (4), 6-4 triumph over senior Zubin Omar to provide the Saints with their first dual victory of the 2025 campaign.
 
"I am pleased with this win," said first-year Siena head tennis coach Alex Van Cott.
 
"We didn't need to be perfect tonight. We look forward to continuing to progress as the season moves forward." 
 
The Saints (1-4) took the doubles points with a pair of wins from the teams of Martinez and Dylan Breen as well as Acri and Bruno Loch Varella. 
 
Binghamton dropped to 3-6 on the season.
