The Siena Men's Track Team sent seven male and five female student-athletes to run at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational as a final tune up before next week's MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
PJ Dauer finished best among the Saints in the men's 1,000-meter with a time of 2:30.30 to place 28
th overall in the event.Â
Five others from Siena took part in the men's one-mile race as
Killian McNamee came away with the best time in the bunch by clocking in at 4:08.42 for 151th in the standings.
Tyler Greene (4:10.81),
Luke Tkaczyk (4:11.6),
Noah Greski (4:15.20), and
Marcus Homa (4:19.72) followed McNamee in the event.
In the men's 3,000-meter race,
Jackson Cayward ran it in 8:37.55 as the lone Saint to compete in the event.
On the women's side, graduate student
Jennifer McClintock ran 3:00.34 for a 36
th overall finish in the women's 1,000-meter run.
In the one-mile event, senior
Claire Gardner closed with a time of 4:59.39 while senior
Keira Flaherty (5:00.81), sophomore
Kate DeForest (5:11.61), and graduate student Katie Hesler (5:13.77) followed her closely behind.Â
Siena will now get ready for the 2025 MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships that will take place from Saturday, Feb. 22 through Sunday, Feb. 23 at the Nike Armory Track and Field Center in New York City, NY.Â
