Laia Giralt is having quite the week.

The Barcelona, Spain native not only reached the 50-wins mark to become just the fourth student-athlete in Siena Women's Tennis program history to accomplish that feat to join Sarah Mayer, Mitsuka Fukamachi and Julia Lebedev on the Mount Rushmore of all-time singles winners.

The product of Ins Car also was named the Co-MAAC Player of the Week on Wednesday after an undefeated week that pushed the Saints record up to 2-0 in conference play. It marks her second MAAC weekly award this season.

Giralt teamed with
Manuela Gomez to defeat Venus Jang and Bella Pescatore of Mount St. Mary's 7-5 at the doubles No. 1 position and then also won her singles No. 1 match against Margherita Trolese 6-2, 6-2. The Saints won 4-3 for its third consecutive victory this past Sunday.Â

Siena Women's Tennis (4-6 overall, 2-0 MAAC) is back in action on Friday when the Saints travel to Philadelphia to take on Temple (4-11) at 2 p.m. in non-conference action before returning home to host Merrimack (1-8, 0-5 MAAC) in a conference match on Sunday at 1:45 p.m. from Shaker High School.Â
