Men’s Lacrosse to host Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday

Saints and Mountaineers face off at noon at Hickey Field in MAAC match up

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Winners of three of their past four games, Siena Men's Lacrosse will look to build upon that recent success when it hosts Mount St. Mary's on Saturday at noon from Hickey Field in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup.

The Saints (4-4 overall, 2-1 MAAC) are off the heels of back-to-back convincing conference victories at Merrimack and home versus Iona where they have averaged 17 goals per game over the last two.

No offensive player in the MAAC has been hotter than senior attack Pratt Reynolds who followed up a five-goal performance against the Gaels with a career-high eight goal onslaught at the Warriors this past Wednesday.

The Manlius, NY native leads the conference with 3.88 goals per game and ranks second in points per game at 4.13.

For Mount St. Mary's (2-7 overall, 0-3 MAAC), they have lost each of their previous two conference games at Manhattan and home versus Marist by a combined three goals.

The Mountaineers are led by sophomore Brody Atkinson (ranks third in the MAAC with 3.00 goals per game and fifth in points per game with 3.38) and freshman Carter Quested (fifth in goals per game at 2.00 and ninth in ppg at 2.88).

The game can be watched on ESPN+ with broadcasters Chris Watson and Stephen Jones on the call and live stats can be followed here

In the face off "X", freshman Logan Banek improved his win percentage even further over the past week as the New Hartford, NY native now ranks third in win percentage (.681 with 126-of-185 won) and tops the nation in ground balls per game (9.75 per game).

The combined seven-time MAAC Rookie and Faceoff Specialist of the Week is set to face off against Mountaineers' primary face off taker Jaden Saysanam (51 of 122 for a .418 win percentage) and Garrett Conley (34 of 84 for a .400 win percentage).

Protecting the cage, the projected goalkeepers match up features Saints graduate student Andrew Arcuri (10.24 GAA, .562 save percentage and 104 saves) against Mountaineers sophomore Bennett Wright (12.41 GAA, .533 save percentage and 128 saves).

While the Mount leads the all-time series between the teams 12-7, the Saints have won seven of the previous eight meetings including last year's 14-7 win in Emmitsburg, MD.

Mount St. Mary's led that game 6-4 at halftime before Siena outscored them 10-1 in the second half for the victory.

Patrick Radomski scored a game-high four goals.
