Killian McNamee shined at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic over the weekend as the Tolland, CT native ran the men's 5K in 14:09.4 to win the event at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, PA. It was the third fastest time in Siena Track's program history.
Joining McNamee among the top ranks in Siena Track lore, sophomore Collin Brunelle finished 38
th overall in the same event and had the seventh fastest time in the 5k with a time of 14:40.4.
Christopher DeForest also ran it in 14:59.28 while Colin Clinton clocked in at 15:01.35.
Other finishers in the women's events included:
- In the 800-meter, Mattingly O'Rourke was 50th (2:17.31) and Jennifer McClintock placed 70th (2:18.81)
- In the 1,500-meter, Claire Gardner placed 20th (4:32.37), Keira Flaherty was 34th (4:36.98), Chloe Poulos was 45th (4:40.32).
- In the one-mile, Katie Hayes was 14th (5:24.55), Marissa Navarra was 24th (5:32.96), Izzy McNamee placed 25th (5:35.94) and Olivia Armenia was 34th (5:47.12),
- For the 5,000-meter, it was Kaitlin DeForest (18:28.87) in 19th, Christina Peppy (18:38.80) in 24th, and Katie Hesler in 77th (17:39.30).
On the men's side:
- PJ Dauer ran the 800-meter in 2:01.58 (132nd).
- Jackson Cayward ran the men's 1,500-meter in 3:58.60 for 10th, Marcus Homa in 4:00.32 for 22nd, Jake Passalugo in 39th (4:04.98), and Jake Gogarty in 46th (4:07.61).
- In the one-mile, Brody Santagata placed 20th (4:28.20), Cormac Leahy finished 21st (4:28.55), Evan Wattie was 35th (4:33.94) and Tommy Sheerin was 41st (4:39.38).
- In the 5,000-meter, Noah Greski was second (14:55.53).
- Collin Brown ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:29.18 (31st), Conor Thomas was 54th (9:58.55), Nate Sletten placed 57th (10:12.01)
Next, Siena will travel to New Jersey to take part in the Rider Invitational next Saturday, April 19 at the Michael P. Brady Track and Field Complex.
