LOUDONVILLE, NY - Four members of Siena Swimming & diving were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the CSC Tuesday.
Carsyn Ide,
Mea Amedio,
Sydney Murray, and
Kaci Owens each earned the distinguished honor following appearances on the MAAC All-Academic Team.
Ide, a sophomore English major, boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA, and was a member of the program's record-breaking 400 medley relay team at the MAAC Championships. Classmate Amedio carries a 3.97 GPA as a business major, and was part of the 400 free relay team that broke the program record at the MAAC Championships this past season.
Murray, a two-time MAAC Diver of the Week, holds a 3.95 GPA as a biology BA student, while the junior Owens is a 3.89 student studying finance.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
