Siena Women's Golf competed in the first two rounds of the Rutgers Invitational Saturday from Rutgers Golf Course in Piscataway, NJ. Through 36 holes, the Saints are +80, 648 for 14th place.
Entering Sunday's final round the Saints are 57 strokes behind Rutgers, who lead the 17-team field at +23, 591. Siena shot +39, 323 in the first round before going on to shoot +41, 325 in the second round.
It was an impressive day for freshman
Julia Kret as the rookie is tied 18th in the field of 92 after shooting six-over in each of her two rounds for a total score of +12, 154. She tallied three birdies over her two rounds of play.
Mackenzie Whitney shot +10 in round one before going on to improve by three strokes in the second round to enter Sunday 41st at +17 overall.
Jillian Barend finds herself 62nd at +22 following rounds of +7, and +15.
Isabella Silva contributed to the team's scoring, shooting +20 in her first round while going on to improve seven strokes in the second round.
Emely Kintzel finished her day with two rounds of +16.
