Siena Baseball capitalized on a four-run third inning to secure a pivotal series victory with a 7-4 triumph over Quinnipiac in the decisive rubber game Monday afternoon in Hamden, Connecticut.
Noah Brooks delivered the go-ahead two-run double during the decisive third inning for Siena (20-28, 16-11), which claimed its sixth straight MAAC series victory. Predicted to finish 11
th out of 13 teams according to the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the upstart Saints have surged into a tie for third place with Quinnipiac (25-22-1, 16-11), whom they now hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over. The top-four seeds in next week's eight-team MAAC Tournament secure byes to the double elimination round.

Nick Bergamotto all registered multi-hit efforts for Siena, which had previously locked up the program's first MAAC Tournament berth in four years following weekend results across the league.
Tyler Sausville finished things off with his second two-inning save in as many games for the Saints, who reach the 20-win mark for the first time in seven years (21 wins in 2018). Moreover, Siena has now won 16 MAAC contests, matching the 2016 squad for the most since the 2014 MAAC Championship team won 17 league games.
CJ Willis opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning for the Bobcats, who have now dropped three consecutive MAAC series.
The Saints return to the Capital Region to wrap regular season action with four home games. Siena continues its busiest calendar week this spring – featuring five games in six days – when they host FDU in their non-conference finale Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Connors Park.
